Mobile App (iPhone & Android)
The Laxis app for iPhone and Android records in-person conversations, voice memos, and phone calls on speaker, writes AI notes while you talk, and keeps all your meetings from every device in your pocket. It also includes the Laxis keyboard for dictating in any app.
Download Laxis from the App Store or Google Play.
Getting started
After you sign in (with Apple on iPhone, Google, Microsoft, or email), a short setup walks you through:
- Your meeting language — the language you usually speak in meetings.
- Your first note — tap the mic and read a short script aloud to see Laxis transcribe and write it up. It's saved as your first note, "Getting started with Laxis".
- Calendar and reminders — connect Google or Outlook Calendar, and choose whether Laxis should remind you to record and send the meeting bot to online meetings. Allow notifications so reminders can reach you.
- The Laxis keyboard — try dictating, then turn on the keyboard (you can skip this and do it later from the Keyboard tab).
- Your workspace — join your team's workspace or create your own, if there's a choice to make.
New accounts start with a free Premium trial — no credit card needed.
Finding your way around
The bottom bar has Home, Tasks, the red record button, Chat, and Keyboard. In the top bar:
- Gear (top left): opens Settings, with your plan and minutes at the top.
- Meeting bot icon: invite the Laxis bot to an online meeting.
- Search: search all your conversations.
Home
- Get started with Laxis — a short checklist: record your first note, connect your calendar, try the Voice Keyboard, get Laxis on your computer, and invite a friend. Tap Don't show again to hide it.
- Coming up — your next calendar meeting. Tap it to open its note and prep an agenda before it starts. Tap Details to see the agenda, turn the Auto-record switch (the Laxis bot records this meeting) on or off, or Join meeting. Tap See all for the full list.
- Your meetings — all your meetings, newest first, grouped by Today, Yesterday, Previous 7 Days, Previous 30 Days, and by month. Each shows where it was recorded, its length, and a short AI recap.
- Swipe left on a meeting to delete it.
- If a recording failed to upload, Laxis keeps retrying. On iPhone, you can also touch and hold it and choose Re-upload.
- A lock (Storage Limit) means the meeting is older than 30 days on the Basic plan. Upgrade to unlock it.
When you're in a team workspace, its name shows in the top bar, and Home lists that workspace's meetings.
Record a meeting
Tap the red record button — recording starts immediately and the note opens.
- Notes: type your own notes. Laxis writes AI live notes into the same document: the first after about 2 minutes, then about every 5 minutes. Your text is never overwritten.
- Transcript: tap Transcript in the bottom bar (or drag it up) to see the live transcript.
- Speaking: at the bottom of the transcript drawer, choose the language being spoken — Auto-detect or one of 60 languages.
- Translate: choose a language to see a live translation under each line (Premium).
- Report: a Live summary card updates every minute or two while you record.
- Tasks and Chat work during the recording too.
- Stop: tap Stop when you're done.
On iPhone, a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island shows that Laxis is recording. If a phone call interrupts, Laxis pauses and resumes automatically.
Android: keep Laxis open while recording
On Android, Laxis keeps your screen on while it records. Keep the app open on screen until you tap Stop so the recording isn't interrupted.
When a recording stops on its own
There's no Pause button. Laxis stops and saves the recording automatically when:
- Nobody has spoken for 10 minutes — you get a 60-second warning with Keep recording first.
- You reach your plan's limit for a single recording — 45 minutes on Basic, 2 hours on Premium, 4 hours on Business. The timer shows the time left in the last 10 minutes, and you get notifications about 10 and 5 minutes before the limit.
- You run out of transcription minutes for the month.
Tap Record on the meeting to continue — the new recording is added to the same note.
Invite the Laxis bot to an online meeting
- Tap the meeting bot icon in the top bar.
- Paste the Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams link.
- Tap Record. The Laxis Meeting Assistant joins the meeting and records it, and the meeting appears in your list afterwards.
To have the bot join your calendar meetings automatically, go to Settings → Integration → Auto-join Meetings and choose All meetings in my calendar, Only meetings I host, or Only meetings I manually select.
After the meeting
When you tap Stop, Laxis polishes your notes (tap Undo to go back), writes the Report, and pulls out Tasks. Open any meeting to see:
- Notes, Report, Tasks, and Chat tabs.
- Report: choose a template (default Meeting Summary), tap Re-generate, or tap Edit to change the text. Action items are checkable and stay in sync with Tasks.
- Bottom bar: play the recording, tap Record to add another recording to this note, or open the Transcript. On Android, tap a paragraph in the transcript to jump to that moment.
- Search (top bar): find words in the transcript, with up and down arrows to move between matches.
- Share (top bar): invite people by email, or choose Anyone with the link and copy the link.
- ⋯ menu: Export Transcript (TXT, DOCX, or PDF, with or without the summary, speaker names, and timestamps) and Re-transcribe (uses transcription minutes). On iPhone, Edit Summary is here too.
- Speakers: tap a Speaker N label in the transcript to name them. See Speaker Recognition.
- Highlights and photos: in the newest version, tap Highlight to mark the current paragraph, or Take photo to add a photo of a slide or whiteboard to the transcript. See Highlights & Meeting Images.

Troubleshooting
"Microphone Access Required". Laxis can't use the microphone. Tap Go to Settings and allow microphone access for Laxis.
No reminders or recording alerts. Allow notifications for Laxis in your phone's settings. On Android 13 and later, Laxis asks for notification permission only once.
"Previous recording is still uploading". Wait a moment and try again. If a meeting shows Upload issue, it's saved on your phone and Laxis keeps retrying while the app is open. On iPhone, you can also touch and hold a failed meeting and choose Re-upload.
"Recording is active on another device". Someone (or another of your devices) is recording into this note. Stop that recording first.
"You have run out of transcription minutes". Your monthly minutes are used up. They reset at the start of your billing month, or you can upgrade.
A meeting shows a lock. On the Basic plan, meetings older than 30 days are archived. Upgrade to unlock them — nothing is deleted.
