Web App Guide
The Laxis web app at app.laxis.com works in Chrome, Edge, and other modern browsers. Use it to record from your browser, send the Laxis meeting bot to online meetings, review every meeting from any device, and manage your workspace, integrations, and billing.
New — rolling out now
This guide describes the next web app update. Until it reaches you, a few things look different: the Tasks page and tab, the Voice Keyboard page, and the transcript filter aren't there yet, the Report tab is called Summary, the interface language is under Settings → General, and the Dictionary is managed in the desktop or mobile app. The flag on a paragraph asks you to pick a topic instead of adding a one-click highlight.
Getting around
- Product switcher (top of the sidebar): switch between Meeting Assistant and Sales Agent (AI Prospect Research and AI SDR). Laxis remembers the last one you used.
- Meeting Assistant sidebar: Meetings, Tasks, Shared with me, Folders, AI Templates, and Voice Keyboard.
- Plan card (bottom of the sidebar): your plan, minutes used this month, Earn Premium, and Upgrade.
- Your avatar menu: switch Workspace, open Plan or Settings, Download Desktop App, open the Help Center, or Sign Out.
Meetings page
- Search all conversations… — type and press Enter to search every meeting in your current workspace.
- New Recording — click to start recording from your browser's microphone. Click the arrow next to it for Recording Options: Record, Invite Laxis Assistant, and Upload Audio File.
- Coming up — your next two calendar meetings. Click one to open its prep note. Use the Invite notetaker switch to have the Laxis bot join and record that meeting.
- Past meetings — grouped by date. Click ⋯ on a meeting to Move to Folder, Send to CRM (when a CRM is connected), or Delete.
- Ask AI about your meetings... — the chat bar at the bottom answers questions across all your meetings (Premium).
Ways to record
Record from your browser
Click New Recording
Allow microphone access if your browser asks. Recording starts right away.
Take notes while you talk
Type in the notes on the left. Laxis adds AI live notes about every 5 minutes. The live transcript appears on the right, where you can choose the spoken language (Auto-detect or one of 60 languages) and Translate to another language (Premium).
Stop
Click Stop recording. You land on the meeting's Notes tab: Laxis polishes your notes and writes the Report.
Browser recording uses your microphone only
Other participants are only recorded if their voices come through your speakers and reach your microphone. To capture everyone clearly, invite the Laxis bot or use the Desktop App.
Browser recordings follow the same rules as other apps: a single recording can last up to 45 minutes on Basic, 2 hours on Premium, and 4 hours on Business, and stops after 10 minutes without speech (with a 60-second warning). You can turn the silence rule off in Settings → Notifications → Auto-stop silent recordings.
Invite the Laxis meeting bot
Choose Invite Laxis Assistant
Click the arrow next to New Recording, then Invite Laxis Assistant.
Paste the meeting link
Paste a Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams link into Meeting Link.
Click Record
The Laxis bot joins your meeting as a participant and records it. When the meeting ends, the transcript and report appear in your meetings list.
To have the bot join calendar meetings automatically, see Meeting Bot settings.
Upload an audio file
Click the arrow next to New Recording → Upload Audio File. Choose an audio file (m4a, mp3, wav, or flac, up to 200 MB) and the meeting language, then click Upload. The meeting appears in your list once it's transcribed.
Prep notes for upcoming meetings
Click a meeting under Coming up to open its prep note. Write your agenda, then click Record when the meeting starts — the recording goes into the same note. Prep notes sync with your desktop and mobile apps.
The meeting page
The left side has three tabs, and the right side has the transcript and playback.
Header
- Title — click to rename.
- Search this conversation… — find words in the transcript, with arrows to move between matches.
- Share — invite people by email, choose Anyone with the link or Only people invited, and Copy link.
- Download — export the transcript as Text, Word, PDF, or subtitles (.srt), including the summary, highlights, timestamps, and speakers if you like.
Notes, Report, and Tasks
- Notes — your notes and AI live notes. Click Polish notes to rewrite them against the transcript.
- Report — choose a template (default Meeting Summary), then Generate or Re-generate. Edit the result or Copy it. Manage Templates opens AI Templates. Templates other than Meeting Summary need Premium.
- Tasks — the meeting's action items. View in Tasks opens the Tasks page.
Meetings with a report but no notes (for example from the meeting bot or an upload) open on the Report tab.
Transcript and playback
- Meetings recorded by the bot show a video player. Browser, desktop, mobile, and upload recordings show audio controls. Chrome extension meetings are text only.
- Click a speaker name to assign or change it. Use Apply to all to rename every line from that speaker.
- Click the flag on a paragraph to highlight it. Use the filter to show All, Transcript Only, Highlights, or Images. Screenshots and photos taken in the other Laxis apps appear right in the transcript.
- Re-transcribe transcribes the meeting again in a language you choose (uses transcription minutes).
- Record again adds another recording to this note.
Chat about the meeting
Use Ask AI about this meeting... at the bottom of the left side to ask questions like "What did John say about the timeline?" (Premium).
Tasks
The Tasks page collects action items from all your meetings. Switch between Open and Done, add your own with What needs to get done?, and edit or delete any task. Tasks sync with the desktop and mobile apps.
Shared with me
Shared with me lists meetings other people have shared with you, grouped by date and labeled "Shared by" with their name. Click a meeting to open it with the access you've been given.
Folders
Folders group meetings and share them with a set of people.
- Create a folder: click + next to Folders, enter a Folder Name, optionally add email addresses to invite, and click Create Folder.
- Add a meeting: on the Meetings page, click ⋯ on the meeting → Move to Folder → pick the folder → Move. Everyone in the folder can see it.
- Manage members: open the folder and click the Members button to invite more people, leave the folder, or (if you created it) delete it.
Folders belong to your current workspace.
